What's in it?
Pork, salt, and a hand-mixed blend of spices brought from Sulmona, Italy in 1945. The exact spice blend is the family secret — it hasn't changed in eighty years, and we're not going to start now.
Sweet vs. hot — what's the difference?
Same base recipe. Hot adds crushed red pepper for a slow, building heat. Sweet is fragrant, mellow, and the most popular.
Are there fillers, MSG, or artificial preservatives?
No. We use whole-muscle pork ground in-house, our family spice blend, and natural casings. That's it.
Is it gluten-free?
Our classic sweet and hot sausages are made without gluten ingredients. We do prepare other items in the same shop, so we cannot guarantee a fully gluten-free environment. If you have a serious allergy, call us first at 412-331-9531.
Shipping & Delivery
How fast does it ship?
Orders placed Sunday through Tuesday by noon ET ship the same week. Transit is 1–3 business days. Full details on our shipping page.
Does it arrive frozen?
Yes. Every box is packed with dry ice in an insulated container. Unpack immediately on arrival.
Where do you ship?
All 48 contiguous U.S. states. Not yet shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or internationally.
Can I track my order?
Yes. You'll receive a shipment confirmation with tracking, or you can sign in to your account.
Storage & Cooking
How long does it keep?
Frozen: up to 6 months. Refrigerated (after thawing): cook within 2–3 days.
How should I cook it?
Pan-fry, grill, broil, or simmer in sauce. Pricking the casing is up to you — we don't, because we like the juice to stay inside the link.

Can I pick up in McKees Rocks instead of shipping?
Yes. Select In-Store Pickup at checkout, or call the shop directly at 412-331-9531. We're old fashioned and enjoy talking to our customers on the phone.
What are your hours?
Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM. Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Closed Sunday.
